About the role
The Marriott Hotel Alfa is looking for an HR Generalist on a replacement contract to support its management and leadership teams. You will act as a key point of contact for employee inquiries, recruitment processes, and HR administration while ensuring compliance with local regulations.
Key responsibilities
- Assist management and leadership with handling and resolving HR issues.
- Support employees with internal and external transfer requests and procedures.
- Monitor hiring processes, coordinate drug screens, reference checks, background checks, motor vehicle checks, and social security verification.
- Maintain applicant flow, orientation, and transfer request logs.
- Create and manage new‑hire and personnel files in the HR Information System.
- Facilitate new‑employee orientation and ensure compliance with local, state, and federal laws.
- Support payroll record processing and maintain accurate employee documentation.
- Generate HR data reports and handle phone inquiries.
- Serve as HR subject‑matter expert on project teams and train new hires on HR processes and systems.
Required profile
- High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent.
- At least 1 year of relevant HR experience.
- No supervisory experience required.
- Good command of French and English; Luxembourgish or German is an asset.
- Legal authorization to work in Luxembourg.
Required skills
- Proficiency with Human Resources Information Systems (HRIS).
