Accountant - ITAA Certified

About the role

IQ-EQ, a global investor services group serving investment managers, asset owners and businesses with administration, compliance, governance, data and reporting, is looking for an ITAA-certified Accountant for its Core Team Accounting. The role is hands-on and technical, acting as a technical expert who contributes to high-quality client delivery through oversight, review, guidance and knowledge transfer.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct technical reviews of accounting deliverables across bookkeeping, financial statements, management reporting and tax returns, ensuring compliance with BeGAAP, Lux GAAP, IFRS and US GAAP standards and internal quality procedures.
• Manage a portfolio of clients, mainly SPVs and alternative investment funds across Belgium and Luxembourg, as the technical reference point for complex accounting matters.
• Provide technical guidance and feedback to Accounting and GCD teams, supporting their professional development and consistent application of accounting standards.
• Oversee the correct and timely use of internal systems and tools (Navigator WF, Navigator Doc, QICS), verify adherence to procedures and take part in process improvement reviews.
• Identify and remediate technical risks, inconsistencies and errors so that deliverables meet regulatory requirements and client expectations.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent (BAC+5) in Accountancy or Business Administration.
• At least 6-8 years of professional accounting experience, with strong technical expertise in Lux GAAP (essential) and knowledge of IFRS and US GAAP (advantageous).
• Registered with and fully licensed by the Belgian Institute for Tax Advisors and Accountants (ITAA).
• Native fluency in French or Dutch and fluent English; additional languages are an advantage.
