Risk Analytics Lead (m/f/d)

About the role

Riverty, a fintech company offering flexible payments and part of the Bertelsmann group, is looking for a Risk Analytics Lead to join its team in Luxembourg. The role leads a team focused on external end-customer solvency and fraud indicators, supporting risk strategy, pricing decisions and product expansion. Flexible working conditions are available, and preferred locations are Luxembourg, Berlin, Verl and Baden-Baden in Germany, and Amsterdam and Heerenveen in the Netherlands.

Key responsibilities

• Lead a high-performing team of risk analytics experts in an international setup.
• Ensure the team uses industry-standard analytics tools and data-driven decision-making to solve complex fraud and solvency risk problems and support product expansion.
• Drive continuous improvement of data analyses, business processes and monitoring/reporting, and establish best practices for ad-hoc and deep-dive analyses.
• Provide risk insights for pricing requests and collaborate with internal stakeholders on analytical requirements.
• Play a key role in cross-functional Risk Data Science initiatives and enable machine learning-based models and advanced analytics for risk decisioning.
• Represent the team in key projects with project responsibility for risk-steering analytics and implementation.

Required profile

• Proven track record in data analytics and credit risk management, ideally in banking, BNPL or a fast-growing payment industry.
• At least 3 years of experience leading cross-border teams in credit risk analytics, preferably in an international, agile, cross-functional environment.
• Experience enabling machine learning-based models and advanced analytics for risk assessment and decisioning.
• Strategic thinker with a strong operational approach.
• English mandatory; German or Dutch is a plus.

Required skills

• Programming in SQL and Python for complex analytical tasks.
• Use of industry-standard analytics tools.
