Senior Internal Auditor – Banking & Funds

About the role

We are seeking a Senior Internal Auditor to join the Internal Audit department of Banque de Patrimoine Privées (BPP). The role supports the bank’s growth by delivering high‑quality audit assignments across banking, depositary, corporate, fund and wealth‑management services.

Key responsibilities

• Execute internal audit assignments in line with the annual audit plan and IIA standards.
• Assess internal controls, risk‑management practices and governance processes.
• Develop audit methodology, perform testing, analyse results and document evidence.
• Identify control weaknesses and operational vulnerabilities, and propose improvement actions.
• Prepare detailed audit reports and present findings to senior management and stakeholders.
• Follow‑up on audit recommendations to ensure effective implementation.
• Contribute to periodic risk‑assessment reviews and the internal audit plan.
• Participate in investigations, ad‑hoc projects and policy reviews as required.

Required profile

• Master’s degree in Audit or a related field.
• Minimum 5 years of professional audit experience, preferably in banking or fund services.
• Strong knowledge of MIFID II, AML regulations and the depositary/funds industry.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English and French.
• High level of independence, integrity and confidentiality.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
• Data‑analytics knowledge (e.g., analytical tools, data‑visualisation).
• Solid understanding of audit techniques and IIA methodology.
