Valuation & Modelling Senior Associate - Infrastructure & Private Markets

About the role

PwC Luxembourg is hiring a Senior Associate for its Valuation & Modelling practice, specialising in Infrastructure and Private Markets. The team advises alternative investment managers, institutional investors, infrastructure funds, private equity sponsors, family offices, sovereign wealth funds and multinational corporations on complex valuation and modelling matters, and supports audit engagements through its Assurance practice.

Key responsibilities

• Carry out valuation and modelling assignments such as portfolio, business and intangible valuations, complex securities valuation and ad hoc modelling.
• Prepare detailed financial models, business plans, financial analysis and apply valuation methodologies.
• Assess the reasonableness of valuations and models prepared by others.
• Help clients understand complex financial structures and apply valuation principles under IPEV, IFRS, US GAAP and Lux GAAP.
• Analyse financial instruments, structured products and complex capital structures, and build independent models using income, market and option-based approaches.
• Formulate recommendations, communicate technical concepts clearly and produce client deliverables.

Required profile

• Master's degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting or a related field.
• 2-5 years of professional experience in valuation and modelling, preferably in a Big Four, professional services or specialist advisory firm.
• Exposure to private capital alternative investments; infrastructure and project finance valuation experience is highly valued.
• Strong communication skills with excellent English; German and French are strong assets.
• Organised, adaptable, detail-oriented and able to manage multiple priorities.

Required skills

• Financial modelling in Microsoft Excel, including three-way models and best practices.
• Financial statement analysis under IFRS, US GAAP and/or Lux GAAP.
• Option pricing models and/or purchase price allocations (valuable).
• High-quality presentations in Microsoft PowerPoint.
• Progressing toward a professional qualification (e.g. CFA, ACCA, CPA, FRM) is valued.
