Senior Accountant - Issuer Services (Capital Markets)

About the role

Ocorian's Luxembourg Capital Markets team is looking for a Senior Accountant to take ownership of the accounting and administration of a portfolio of capital markets clients, including structured finance, debt structures and securitisation vehicles. The role applies technical accounting expertise to deliver high-quality financial statements, management accounts and reporting, while building relationships with clients, auditors and colleagues. It is a hybrid position.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and review financial statements, management accounts and accounting records for client structures
• Review client deliverables such as interim reporting, distribution calculations, interest accruals, equalisation and interest payment dates
• Review bank, investment and other reconciliations
• Prepare and review VAT and tax returns and regulatory reporting
• Prepare annual financial statements and ad hoc reporting in line with Luxembourg GAAP and IFRS
• Coach and guide Accountants, Assistant Accountants and Junior Accountants
• Partner with appointed auditors on financial statement audits
• Maintain high-quality working papers and support client budgeting and accounting projects

Required profile

• ACCA, ACA or equivalent professional accounting qualification, or equivalent experience
• Experience preparing and reviewing client accounts, with exposure to capital markets, structured finance, debt structures or securitisation
• Strong knowledge of IFRS; knowledge of Luxembourg GAAP or other frameworks is beneficial
• Experience building relationships with clients, auditors and colleagues, and supporting colleagues through coaching
