International Corporate Tax Associate - Alternative Investments

About the role

PwC is looking for an Associate in its International Corporate Tax team within Tax Product Services (TPS). You will work alongside tax specialists supporting alternative investment clients such as private equity, real estate and hedge fund structures, collaborating with colleagues across Luxembourg and the global PwC network on complex cross-border tax matters.

Key responsibilities

• Advise international clients on the tax implications of fund and investment structures at key stages of their lifecycle, including acquisitions, reorganisations and new investment strategies.
• Assess the application of Luxembourg tax rules, double tax treaties and international tax frameworks to support cross-border investments.
• Analyse Luxembourg and international tax legislation and turn technical developments into practical recommendations.
• Help identify tax-efficient solutions that reduce tax leakage and mitigate tax risk.
• Work with colleagues from Transfer Pricing, VAT and other disciplines to deliver integrated tax advice and written opinions.
• Collaborate with specialists across jurisdictions on multinational investment structures and coordinate international tax matters.
• Support the development of tools and approaches that help teams respond quickly to legislative and regulatory changes.

Required profile

• A Master's degree in Tax Law or Business Law, or a degree in Economics with additional education in Tax Law.
• First experience in taxation, legal advisory or a related field.
• Strong interest in international corporate taxation and alternative investment structures.
• Professional working proficiency in English; French and German are additional assets.

Required skills

• Proficient, independent use of Microsoft Excel.
• Ability to analyse information critically and structure complex tax matters into clear recommendations.
• Willingness to collaborate across teams, disciplines and jurisdictions and to adapt to changing legislation and client needs.
