Data & Automation Associate – Tax Technology

About the role

PwC is hiring an Associate in its Tax Data & Technology team. You will work closely with tax professionals, business stakeholders and technology specialists to improve how tax services are delivered to clients, turning operational challenges into practical automation, data and reporting solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Analyse business processes, identify inefficiencies and recommend technology-enabled improvements for tax service delivery.
• Design and deliver automation, reporting and data visualisation solutions that reduce manual effort.
• Gather requirements with stakeholders, translate business needs into functional specifications and prioritise initiatives.
• Collect, cleanse and transform data from multiple sources to support analysis, reporting and decision-making.
• Develop dashboards, reports and insights so stakeholders can monitor performance and act on key findings.
• Manage a portfolio of projects, coordinate delivery and contribute to proof-of-concept initiatives.
• Work with IT teams so solutions fit system governance, integration requirements and technical standards.

Required profile

• Master's degree in Data Science, Computer Science or a related field.
• Strong stakeholder communication skills and experience collaborating with business and technical teams.
• Ability to structure information clearly, analyse data thoughtfully and turn findings into practical business recommendations.
• Ways of working: collaboration, openness to feedback, integrity and confidentiality.

Required skills

• SQL: proficient, used independently for data extraction, manipulation and analysis.
• Python: proficient, used independently for data processing, automation and analytics.
• ETL tools: working knowledge of data integration and transformation.
• Data visualisation tools such as Power BI, Tableau or equivalent.
