IT Security Engineer

About the role

Banking Circle is looking for an IT Security Engineer to join the Engineering Operations team. You will help design, build and operate critical security services that protect the banking infrastructure of a fast‑growing financial organization.

Key responsibilities

• Manage, deploy and maintain a range of technical IT security products.
• Design and implement security services and solutions across the organisation.
• Embed security into the software development lifecycle by advising on secure design, coding practices, threat modelling and application risk reduction.
• Strengthen application and code security through vulnerability management, dependency analysis and remediation guidance.
• Partner with DevOps and development teams to integrate security controls into CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure‑as‑code workflows, container platforms and cloud‑native environments.
• Support the secure adoption of AI‑enabled tools by assessing model‑usage risks, governance and engineering safeguards.
• Maintain, enhance and contribute to scripts and automation tools.

Required profile

• Minimum 3 years of experience in a comparable role, preferably within a regulated entity.
• Proven expertise in Azure Cloud, application, code and endpoint security, intrusion detection, and secure network, system and application architecture design.
• Concrete experience with threat detection and incident handling.
