Experienced Python / Java Software Engineer

About the role

Pictet Technologies is looking for an experienced full‑stack software engineer to join its agile teams. You will work on a modern Java, Spring and Angular stack while also contributing Python‑based services using FastAPI or similar frameworks.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver shippable features within Scrum teams, ensuring high quality and timely releases.
• Suggest, design and implement innovative solutions to enrich the company’s software portfolio.
• Coach and mentor junior developers in your areas of expertise.

Required profile

• Relevant professional experience in software engineering with solid object‑oriented programming skills.
• Proficiency in Python and experience with FastAPI, Django or Flask.
• Strong knowledge of unit testing using pytest or unittest.
• Experience with SQLAlchemy, Alembic and relational databases such as PostgreSQL, Oracle or MS SQL Server.
• Familiarity with Python package managers (e.g., Poetry) and data‑manipulation libraries like Pandas (a plus).
• Pragmatic experience with Angular or another front‑end framework (nice to have).
• Understanding of DevOps practices, Docker, Kubernetes and cloud architecture.
• Agile mindset, ability to meet deadlines, strong teamwork, fluent English (French is a plus).
