Warehouse Technician – Group Chief

About the role

The Group Chief Warehouse Technician will oversee material handling, storage operations and the coordination of internal logistics projects within NSPA. The role combines hands‑on equipment operation with staff leadership and cross‑functional collaboration.

Key responsibilities

• Manage material handling equipment (MHE), warehouse tractors and forklift trucks for semi‑bulk and bulk items.
• Supervise and develop a team of warehouse staff, ensuring safe and efficient operations.
• Coordinate internal projects with senior management, procurement, internal customers and contractors.
• Maintain compliance with work‑safety, environmental and fire‑prevention regulations.
• Monitor performance metrics and implement solutions to improve team productivity.

Required profile

• Complete secondary school education or equivalent.
• 3‑5 years of experience in material handling and warehousing, typically as a Senior Clerk.
• Strong leadership, judgment and coordination abilities.
• Physical fitness to handle semi‑bulk and bulk items.
• Valid Category B driving licence.

Required skills

• Operation of Material Handling Equipment (MHE), including forklift trucks and warehouse tractors.
• Knowledge of warehousing procedures and storage operations.
• Understanding of work‑safety, environmental regulations and fire‑prevention standards.
