Vice President Accounting – Luxembourg Controller

About the role

The MFM Luxembourg Controller will lead day‑to‑day accounting and financial reporting for BNY Fund Management Luxembourg and its branches. Reporting to the EMEA Controllers team, you will ensure that all financial outputs are accurate, timely, and compliant with Luxembourg GAAP, IFRS, US GAAP, CSSF regulations and internal BNY policies.

Key responsibilities

• Own daily accounting and financial reporting for the Luxembourg management company and its branches.
• Oversee month‑end close, identify issues, and drive resolution.
• Review and ensure quality of outputs from the regional shared services centre.
• Prepare statutory financial statements, management accounts, and regulatory filings.
• Analyse monthly variances and provide clear, decision‑useful commentary.
• Monitor financial performance and report to senior management, committees, and Boards.
• Maintain internal controls, support risk management and remediation activities.
• Act as primary finance contact for auditors, tax advisers, regulators and internal stakeholders.
• Support system and process improvements and coach junior team members.

Required profile

• Extensive experience in accounting and financial reporting for investment‑management entities.
• Strong knowledge of Luxembourg GAAP, IFRS and US GAAP.
• Proven ability to manage month‑end close and regulatory filing processes.
• Experience liaising with auditors, tax advisers and regulators.
