Private Markets AML Officer

About the role

Invesco is seeking an experienced AML professional to oversee anti‑money‑laundering controls across its private market businesses, with a focus on real‑estate funds. You will work closely with MLROs and compliance teams to ensure regulatory compliance and effective risk management.

Key responsibilities

• Design, manage and oversee AML systems and controls, including PEP and sanctions screening, for private market and real‑estate fund transactions.
• Update processes, policies and documentation in line with new regulations and internal improvement initiatives.
• Identify, mitigate and report AML‑related risks arising from real‑estate investments and transactions.
• Oversee third‑party providers handling outsourced AML activities, conduct tests and site visits, and monitor performance against KPIs.
• Support client onboarding, risk profiling, due‑diligence and ongoing transaction monitoring for real‑estate fund investors.
• Prepare and deliver AML‑related management information, reports to internal stakeholders, regulators and boards.
• Assist with internal audits, compliance monitoring and other reviews related to AML and real‑estate fund operations.

Required profile

• Significant AML experience in financial services, preferably within asset management and real‑estate fund environments.
• Proven ability to manage regulatory change in both day‑to‑day operations and project settings.
• Strong relationship‑management skills with internal teams, third‑party administrators, investors and regulators.
• Deep knowledge of AML regulations, PEP and sanctions screening, and best practices for real‑estate fund transactions.
• Experience overseeing outsourced AML/KYC processes and conducting effective oversight.
• Project and change‑management capabilities, with excellent organizational and issue‑resolution skills.
