Transaction Manager – Direct Investments

About the role

Universal Investment is seeking a Transaction Manager to lead direct investment transactions within its Alternative Investments team. The role involves coordinating complex deal processes, ensuring data integrity, and driving process improvements across multiple jurisdictions.

Key responsibilities

• Lead direct investment transactions and act as the primary project manager.
• Coordinate due‑diligence and transaction activities with internal departments and external parties.
• Manage projects involving transfers, restructurings, and contributions‑in‑kind or distributions‑in‑kind.
• Administer the transaction SharePoint system, including configuration, document upload, and audit readiness.
• Identify control gaps and efficiency opportunities, designing cross‑functional process improvements.
• Create and maintain comprehensive documentation and policies for the transaction team.

Required profile

• Minimum three years of professional experience in alternative investments or fund institutions.
• Completed degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration or a related field.
• Proven experience in project management, process efficiency, automation and standardisation.
• Strong independent work ethic and excellent communication skills.
• Fluency in German and English.
