Tax Law Internship (Sept–Dec 2026)

About the role

We are looking for a motivated law student to join A&O Shearman’s tax team for a four‑month internship from September to December 2026. You will work alongside experienced lawyers on both domestic and cross‑border matters, gaining hands‑on experience in tax law. The internship provides a unique chance to engage with complex tax disputes and advisory projects, contributing directly to client solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct legal research on tax‑related issues.
• Assist in due‑diligence exercises for client transactions.
• Translate, draft and proofread legal documents in French and English.
• Prepare client correspondence, presentations and briefing materials.

Required profile

• Master’s student in business law with a specialization in tax law.
• Fluent in French and English; German is a plus.
• Highly motivated and eager to learn.

Required skills

• Legal research techniques.
• Document drafting and proofreading.
• Translation between French and English.
