Senior Specialist, IRIS2 Procurement

About the role

As a Senior Specialist in the IRIS2 Procurement team, you will support the sourcing of hardware, software and services for the EU’s secure satellite constellation programme. You will work closely with global stakeholders, suppliers and internal partners to ensure cost‑effective delivery of programme requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Collaborate with SES and SpaceRISE consortium stakeholders to define procurement needs.
• Develop purchasing options for hardware, software and services related to IRIS2.
• Prepare, issue and manage RFI/RFP/RFQ processes, including document drafting, vendor queries, negotiations and analysis.
• Ensure compliance with SES Global Procurement policies and procedures.
• Identify and qualify potential suppliers, including SMEs and start‑ups, and support vendor onboarding.
• Negotiate contracts, flow down customer terms, and manage contract amendments.
• Analyse existing vendor agreements and contribute to programme status reporting.

Required profile

• Proven experience in procurement, sourcing or contract negotiation, preferably in a technology‑intensive environment.
• Strong understanding of RFI/RFP/RFQ processes and procurement compliance.
• Ability to work with international stakeholders and manage cross‑functional projects.
• Analytical mindset with experience evaluating vendor capabilities and contracts.
• Familiarity with satellite or space‑related programmes is a plus.
