Senior Project Manager – Financial Services (Freelance, Luxembourg)

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Senior Project Manager to lead a 117‑day B2B freelance assignment in Luxembourg. The role focuses on financial‑services projects, particularly around investment funds, risk‑sharing instruments and data migration.

Key responsibilities

• Manage end‑to‑end project delivery for financial‑services initiatives, including data migration and reporting.
• Coordinate between front‑, middle‑ and back‑office teams to ensure accurate information exchange.
• Define and monitor project scope, timelines, risks and deliverables using recognised project‑management methodologies.
• Oversee defect tracking, ticketing and documentation throughout the project lifecycle.
• Produce and validate end‑user reports and ensure successful migration of data assets.

Required profile

• University degree (Bac +3) in Information Technology or related field.
• Extensive knowledge of investment‑fund structures, share classes, NAV and risk‑sharing instruments.
• Professional experience as a Project Manager or Business Analyst in a bank or financial institution.
• Proven track record in data‑migration projects and end‑user reporting.
• Fluent in English; French is a plus.

Required skills

• SQL and data‑analysis.
• Microsoft Office suite: Word, Visio, Excel, Access.
• Defect‑tracking / ticketing tools.
• Business‑analysis and modelling tools (UML, ARIS, ERM or similar).
• Document‑management platforms.
• Project‑management certification (PMI, PRINCE2 or equivalent) – preferred.
