Senior Mechanical Engineer

About the role

We are looking for a Senior Mechanical Engineer to lead the design and development of complex machinery for our client in the Capellen area. You will ensure high‑quality engineering outputs, manage documentation, and drive continuous improvement across projects.

Key responsibilities

• Develop concepts for mechanical systems and generate detailed designs.
• Ensure completeness, technical correctness, and traceability of engineering documents.
• Specify, select, and dimension machine components.
• Participate in analytical and numerical structural analyses, including FEA.
• Review designs and drawings produced by team members, providing guidance and expertise.
• Prepare and supervise fabrication drawings and production documentation.
• Document and test mechanical parts and assemblies.
• Identify development ideas and support their realization.
• Contribute to continuous improvement of design and verification processes.
• Interact with internal and external customers and suppliers to promote and troubleshoot technical solutions.

Required profile

• Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
• At least 10 years of relevant experience.
• Ability to work in an English‑speaking environment; German, French or Luxembourgish a plus.
• Experience in project management.
• Strong sense of responsibility and out‑of‑the‑box, cross‑disciplinary thinking.
