Senior Financial Controller

About the role

We are looking for an experienced finance professional to lead accounting, financial control, and governance for a portfolio of Luxembourg SPVs. The role blends deep technical accounting knowledge with a drive for process improvement and technology‑enabled transformation.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee accounting and financial reporting under Luxembourg GAAP for multiple SPVs and holding structures.
• Manage complex accounting areas such as participations, intra‑group financing, foreign exchange, and intercompany transactions.
• Coordinate year‑end close activities, external audits, and statutory filings.
• Design and maintain a robust control framework, ensuring strong governance, reconciliations and issue remediation.
• Lead process optimisation, automation, and AI initiatives to improve efficiency and reporting quality.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or Business Administration.
• 6–8 years of experience in accounting, audit, or finance, preferably within private equity, asset management, or financial services.
• Strong knowledge of Luxembourg accounting, tax, and regulatory matters.
• Experience contributing to or delivering digital or process‑improvement projects.
• Chartered Accountant or equivalent qualification is a plus.
• Detail‑oriented, accurate, and thorough with strong organisational skills.
• Practical problem‑solver able to prioritize effectively and work independently.
• Excellent communication skills for interaction with senior executives and external partners.
