Senior Financial Accountant

About the role

As our Senior Financial Accountant, you’ll ensure the integrity of our financial records and drive excellence across our accounting operations. You will work closely with cross‑functional teams to support accurate reporting and compliance.

Key responsibilities

• Take full responsibility for General Ledger accounting, including accurate postings, documentation standards and sub‑ledger reconciliation.
• Prepare and review detailed balance‑sheet reconciliations to ensure traceability and consistency.
• Manage capitalization policies, amortization schedules and accounting for fixed assets and Capex.
• Oversee payroll accounting entries, coordinating with external providers to ensure accurate accruals and statutory compliance.
• Act as the main contact for statutory auditors, providing high‑quality supporting documentation.
• Prepare accounting data for VAT and other tax filings, maintaining consistency with the books.
• Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency, control and documentation.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years of accounting experience in fintech, finance or corporate services, with full‑closing cycle exposure.
• Strong knowledge of local accounting principles (Italian and/or Luxembourg GAAP); IFRS exposure is a plus.
• Proactive mindset able to meet tight deadlines in a fast‑paced environment.
• Demonstrated ownership and accountability for complex accounting topics.
• Comfortable working in structured ERP environments and modern digital accounting ecosystems.
• Fluent in Italian and English.

Required skills

• Experience with ERP systems and structured accounting platforms.
• Advanced proficiency in spreadsheet tools (Excel).
• Familiarity with automation, data tools or scripting‑based workflows.
• Knowledge of SAP S/4HANA.
• Ability to work with digital accounting ecosystems.
