Senior Environmental Compliance Manager – EU Donations (12‑month Fixed‑Term)

About the role

Amazon’s EU Environmental Assurance and Protection (EAP) team is looking for a Senior Environmental Compliance Manager to lead the EU field donations program. This 12‑month fixed‑term position will own standards, procedures and risk management for product disposal bans across Amazon’s EU sites, ensuring compliance with local and regional regulations.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain EU field donations standards and procedures aligned with waste‑management regulations.
• Design coverage strategies to guarantee appropriate donation practices across all EU locations.
• Partner with the Worldwide Unsellables team to evaluate and integrate emerging donation technologies.
• Monitor execution through regular audits, metrics and data analysis to identify and mitigate compliance risks.
• Serve as the primary EAP liaison for Operations, Legal, Sustainability and site leadership.
• Produce reporting and analytics on donation volumes, compliance trends and risk indicators.
• Engage with EU regulatory agencies and charity partners to ensure transparent, compliant processes.

Required profile

• Extensive knowledge of EU waste‑management regulations, product disposal bans and related environmental legislation.
• Proven experience managing compliance programs in a large, multi‑site organization.
• Strong analytical mindset with ability to use data to drive continuous improvement.
• Excellent stakeholder‑management skills and ability to influence cross‑functional teams.
• Senior‑level experience (typically 5+ years) in environmental compliance or sustainability.
