Senior DevOps Engineer (Fixed-term, 12 months)

About the role

Pictet Techdivision, which designs and integrates software such as portfolio management systems and trading platforms, is looking for a DevOps / Site Reliability Engineer on a 12-month fixed-term contract. The role strengthens the reliability and performance of the bank's strategic applications through monitoring and observability across on-premises and cloud environments, working closely with software engineering teams.

Key responsibilities

• Support operations teams and lead post-incident reviews, including root cause analysis and preventive action plans.
• Design, implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines and automate recurring tasks with scripts and workflows.
• Build monitoring and observability solutions (dashboards, alerts, end-to-end traceability) using the Grafana Observability Stack.
• Analyse process performance, integrate new tasks into production and optimise existing ones.
• Configure data transfers with external partners and contribute to cloud strategy, including disaster recovery and business continuity.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory and data-protection requirements.

Required profile

• Master's or engineering degree in computer science; minimum 7 years of experience in a similar role, preferably in banking or fund administration.
• Proven hands-on scripting and automation experience.
• Fluent French and English; strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Understanding of fund administration and transfer agency business processes and their regulatory framework.

Required skills

• Grafana, Dynatrace, Jaeger and distributed tracing.
• AWS, Azure or equivalent cloud environments (IaaS, PaaS, SaaS).
• Kubernetes and Docker, Linux/Unix and Windows Server.
• SQL, Oracle, PostgreSQL and MSSQL; Prometheus.
• ITIL (Incident, Problem, Change, Configuration Management).
