Senior Associate – Deals Lawyer (Corporate, M&A, PE)

About the role

Our client, a leading international law firm with a strong Luxembourg presence, is expanding its deals practice. They are looking for a Senior Associate to join the Corporate, M&A and Private Equity team, handling complex cross‑border transactions and working directly with clients from day one.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and manage M&A and private‑equity transactions from structuring through to closing.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, providing pragmatic, commercially‑driven advice.
• Draft, review and negotiate key transaction documents with minimal supervision.
• Coordinate multi‑jurisdictional deals and liaise with international counsel.
• Supervise junior lawyers and oversee due‑diligence processes.
• Take full responsibility for deal execution, timelines and client delivery.

Required profile

• Qualified lawyer in an EU jurisdiction; Luxembourg admission is a strong advantage.
• 5–7 years post‑qualification experience in corporate, M&A or private‑equity at a leading international or top‑tier law firm.
• Proven ability to run transactions autonomously and manage client relationships end‑to‑end.
• Strong commercial awareness and excellent drafting skills.

• Competence in coordinating multi‑jurisdictional legal teams.
• Leadership experience supervising junior lawyers.
