Senior Accountant – General Ledger (International)

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Senior Accountant to manage day‑to‑day general ledger activities for an international commercial and agri‑food company. You will ensure accurate financial operations, support reporting processes, and collaborate with internal and external stakeholders in a dynamic, multinational environment.

Key responsibilities

• Perform daily general ledger accounting, bookkeeping, and month‑end closing.
• Support the preparation of annual accounts, management reports and other reporting deliverables.
• Produce weekly account statements and monthly reconciliations.
• Prepare VAT returns and quarterly reconciliations with importers.
• Generate weekly and monthly financial reports.
• Participate in system implementation and business expansion projects.
• Act as backup for teammates during absences.

Required profile

• Minimum 3 years of GL accounting experience in a dynamic, international setting.
• University degree in Accounting, Finance or Audit.
• Strong numerical aptitude and high attention to detail.
• Experience with reporting and audit processes.
• Good command of Excel and Word.
• Knowledge of IFRS, VAT and US GAAP is a plus.
• Familiarity with Oracle or SAP is an advantage.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work in a team.
