R&D Engineer – Fire Suppression Systems

About the role

As an R&D Engineer you will lead the development and continuous improvement of innovative fire suppression systems, guiding projects from concept through industrialisation and serial production. You will work closely with R&D, Production, Quality, Sales and customers to ensure technical excellence, compliance and reliability.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and improve fire suppression systems and mechanical components.
• Create 2D/3D CAD models, assemblies, technical drawings, bills of materials and product specifications.
• Design prototypes, define testing and validation plans, and coordinate product homologation and certification.
• Estimate product costs together with supporting departments and lead engineering documentation throughout the product lifecycle.
• Plan, organise and monitor multiple R&D projects, validating milestones from concept to serial production.
• Lead preventive and corrective engineering actions, support risk analyses and provide technical expertise to customers, suppliers and internal teams.
• Maintain efficient communication between R&D, Production, Quality, Sales and Management and support sales with technical solutions.

Required profile

• Master’s degree or Engineering degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• Strong expertise in mechanical design, machining processes and stress analysis.
• Proven ability to manage complex engineering projects and work in multidisciplinary teams.
