Python Machine Learning QA Lead (Remote)

About the role

This contract position is a remote, hourly role where you will lead quality assurance for Python machine‑learning projects. You will evaluate AI‑generated code, ML workflows, model explanations and trainer outputs against detailed rubrics, ensuring consistency, correctness and reproducibility.

Key responsibilities

• Review and assess Python code, ML pipelines, and model evaluation reports for technical accuracy.
• Provide precise written feedback to contributors and ensure adherence to project guidelines.
• Identify issues such as data leakage, flawed methodology, non‑reproducible code, and misleading conclusions.
• Maintain quality standards across remote technical teams and document findings.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s, Master’s or PhD in Computer Science, Machine Learning, Data Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Engineering or a related quantitative field.
• Strong command of English for guideline interpretation and clear communication.
• At least 3 years of professional experience in Python development, machine learning, data science, ML engineering or technical review.

• Python programming (data structures, functions, classes, iterators, comprehensions, exception handling, virtual environments, package management, testing, debugging).
• Machine‑learning fundamentals (supervised/unsupervised learning, feature engineering, train/test splits, cross‑validation, model selection, data leakage, regression, classification, clustering, metrics, bias/variance, regularization, reproducibility).
• Libraries: NumPy, pandas, scikit‑learn, PyTorch.
