Payroll Specialist (Belgium) – Remote

About the role

Remote is looking for a Payroll Specialist focused on Belgium payroll to join its global Payroll Operations team. You will ensure accurate, compliant payroll processing for both Global Payroll (GP) and Employer of Record (EOR) engagements while supporting a worldwide client base.

Key responsibilities

• Process GP and EOR payrolls for Belgium, delivering timely and accurate calculations, filings, and reports.
• Maintain up‑to‑date payroll records and employee data in Remote’s platform and associated payroll software.
• Manage the Zendesk ticket queue, providing professional and prompt responses to client inquiries.
• Serve as the primary contact for customers and internal stakeholders on payroll questions and processes.
• Build and nurture relationships with payroll vendors to guarantee quality and timely service delivery.
• Continuously improve payroll workflows and stay informed on internal payroll projects and regulatory updates.
• Ensure data integrity across all payroll systems and processes.

Required profile

• Several years of hands‑on payroll experience in Belgium, including in‑house processing and social security filings.
• Strong knowledge of local payroll compliance and best practices.
• Fluent written and spoken English.
• Analytical mindset with high attention to detail and a proactive attitude toward process optimisation.
