Microsoft Data & AI Engineer

About the role

As a Microsoft Data & AI Engineer at Devoteam, you will help clients design and implement modern, reliable, AI‑ready data platforms using the full Microsoft stack. You will combine hands‑on delivery with strategic advisory, working across on‑premises and cloud environments to modernise legacy systems.

Key responsibilities

• Design and build ELT/ETL pipelines using SSIS, Azure Data Factory and Microsoft Fabric.
• Model and maintain semantic layers in Power BI, including DAX, row‑level security and deployment pipelines.
• Migrate BI environments from SQL Server to Synapse Analytics, Microsoft Fabric, ADLS Gen2 or OneLake.
• Implement analytics engineering standards such as data testing, documentation, version control and performance tuning.
• Support clients in defining data‑modeling strategies (Kimball or Inmon) and analytical architecture.
• Prototype emerging capabilities like Copilot Studio, Azure AI Services and Azure AI Foundry and turn them into production‑ready recommendations.

Required profile

• Minimum 3 years of hands‑on experience with Microsoft data technologies.
• Fluent in written and spoken English and French.
• Analytical thinker with strong communication skills and the ability to work autonomously.
