Litigation Associate (4-5 years experience)

About the role

AKD, a leading Benelux law firm, is seeking a Litigation Associate for its Luxembourg office. The role involves managing complex, often cross‑border disputes from inception to resolution, working closely with partners and directly with clients.

Key responsibilities

• Lead dispute files end‑to‑end, including strategy, drafting, evidence gathering, negotiations and court representation.
• Provide strategic litigation advice on civil, commercial, banking, finance, investment fund, administrative and tax matters.
• Prepare and review procedural and substantive legal documents such as pleadings, motions, settlement agreements and legal opinions.
• Coordinate with clients and external parties to ensure timely case progression.
• Support partners in business development and client relationship management.

Required profile

• Master’s degree in Law from a European university with excellent academic record.
• Bar qualification (Avoué) in Luxembourg or another EU jurisdiction (list IV).
• 4‑5 years of litigation experience in an international or national law firm based in Luxembourg.
• Strong communication, adaptation and problem‑solving abilities.
• Team player with an entrepreneurial and commercial mindset.
• Fluent in English and French.

• Proficiency in Luxembourg procedural rules and relevant EU regulations.
