Legal Counsel (12-Month Fixed-Term Contract)

About the role

A leading international investment group is seeking a Legal Counsel on a 12‑month fixed‑term contract in Luxembourg. The role offers hands‑on involvement in investment transactions, commercial agreements, governance matters and strategic legal projects within a fast‑paced international organisation.

Key responsibilities

• Support the legal aspects of investment transactions across private equity, real estate and infrastructure.
• Draft, review and negotiate a variety of commercial contracts and legal agreements.
• Advise internal stakeholders on legal, regulatory and governance matters.
• Monitor regulatory developments and assess their impact on the business.
• Coordinate with external counsel across multiple jurisdictions.
• Provide commercially focused legal advice to investment and operational teams.
• Assist with internal policies, approval processes and risk‑management initiatives.
• Contribute to cross‑functional projects and wider business objectives.

Required profile

• Qualified lawyer with approximately 4+ years post‑qualification experience.
• Background in corporate, commercial, M&A or transactional law from a leading law firm.
• Exposure to investment‑related transactions, especially in private equity, real estate or infrastructure (highly desirable).
• Additional experience in investment funds, capital markets or banking & finance is advantageous.
• Strong commercial awareness and ability to work directly with business stakeholders.
• Excellent organisational, project‑management and communication skills.
• Fluent English required; French and/or German beneficial.
