Knowledge Lawyer (Debt Finance)

About the role

Clifford Chance is seeking a Knowledge Lawyer to join its Debt Finance team. The role supports the team by researching complex legal topics, drafting memoranda and client briefings, and maintaining the firm’s knowledge assets.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct research on complex legal issues related to debt finance, leveraged finance, asset finance, real estate, infrastructure, fund finance, corporate lending, syndicated facilities and private credit.
• Draft legal memoranda, practice notes, client briefings and contribute to internal and external publications.
• Prepare client communications that showcase Clifford Chance’s expertise.
• Monitor legal developments and disseminate updates to the team.
• Support junior lawyer education and organise internal knowledge‑sharing meetings and conferences.
• Maintain and enhance the template library, identify gaps, create new templates and update the knowledge platform.

Required profile

• Qualified lawyer with experience in debt finance matters.
• Strong research and analytical abilities.
• Excellent written communication skills for drafting legal documents and client materials.
• Proactive approach to knowledge management and team collaboration.
