Investment Risk Analyst – Luxembourg

About the role

We are seeking a motivated Investment Risk Analyst to join a well‑established financial services firm in Luxembourg. You will work alongside seasoned professionals to analyse, monitor and report investment risks across a broad range of asset classes.

Key responsibilities

• Identify, assess, monitor and report market, liquidity, operational, valuation, credit and counter‑party risks.
• Support risk oversight for alternative investments and private‑market assets.
• Prepare risk analyses and regulatory reports for internal stakeholders.
• Assess portfolios against risk limits, investment guidelines and risk profiles.
• Participate in transaction reviews and provide risk input on investment opportunities.
• Assist in developing and enhancing risk‑management tools, methodologies and reporting frameworks.
• Contribute to quantitative and qualitative risk‑modelling projects.
• Conduct counter‑party assessments, due‑diligence reviews and monitor regulatory developments.

Required profile

• Master’s degree in Finance, Economics, Mathematics, Business Administration or a related field.
• 1‑3 years of experience in risk management within financial services, asset management, consulting, audit or a regulated environment.
• Strong analytical, quantitative and problem‑solving abilities.
• Proactive, detail‑oriented and able to work independently while managing multiple priorities.
• Fluent English; additional languages are a plus.

Required skills

• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Programming or database skills such as Python, VBA or SQL.
