Investment Risk Analyst – Luxembourg

About the role

We are seeking a motivated Investment Risk Analyst to join a well‑established financial services firm in Luxembourg. You will work alongside experienced risk professionals, contributing to the analysis, monitoring and reporting of investment risks across a broad range of asset classes.

Key responsibilities

• Support identification, assessment, monitoring and reporting of market, liquidity, operational, valuation, credit and counterparty risks.
• Participate in risk oversight of alternative investments and private market assets.
• Prepare risk analyses and reports for internal stakeholders and regulatory bodies.
• Assess portfolios against risk limits, investment guidelines and risk profiles.
• Provide risk‑related input on transaction reviews and investment opportunities.
• Assist in developing and enhancing risk‑management tools, methodologies and reporting frameworks.
• Contribute to quantitative and qualitative risk‑modelling projects.
• Perform counterparty assessments and due‑diligence reviews.
• Monitor regulatory developments and help update internal policies.

Required profile

• Master’s degree in Finance, Economics, Mathematics, Business Administration or a related field.
• 1‑3 years of experience in risk management within financial services, asset management, consulting, audit or a regulated environment.
• Strong analytical, quantitative and problem‑solving abilities.
• Genuine interest in investment management, financial markets and risk analysis.
• Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities and take ownership of tasks.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Fluent English; additional languages are a plus.

Required skills

• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Programming or database skills such as Python, VBA or SQL.
