HR Generalist Intern (f/m/d)

About the role

The HR team at Deutsche Börse Group is seeking a motivated HR Generalist Intern to support daily HR operations in a fast‑moving, international environment. You will gain hands‑on experience across the full employee life‑cycle, from onboarding to administration, while developing practical HR skills.

Key responsibilities

• Assist with HR administration, time management and onboarding of new joiners.
• Manage and respond to tickets in the HR ticketing system.
• Prepare HR documents such as work certificates, contract amendments, health‑insurance affiliations and A1 certificates.
• Handle sickness and leave processes, including receipt of medical certificates and SAP approvals.
• Answer employee inquiries regarding holidays, sickness and other HR topics via phone, email and face‑to‑face.
• Update HR information systems and support the creation of working‑time statistics.
• Contribute to the improvement of the internship guide.
• Maintain confidentiality and demonstrate professional discretion.

Required profile

• Enrolled in or recently graduated (≤6 months) from a Bachelor’s or Master’s program in Business Administration, Human Resources, Communications, Psychology or a related field.
• Highly motivated, dynamic and able to adapt quickly in a complex environment.
• Strong team orientation with excellent organisational and time‑management abilities.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills in English; French or German is a plus.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
• Basic knowledge of SAP for HR processes.
