High-Level Energy Adviser – Team Leader

About the role

NTU International A/S is seeking a High-Level Adviser on Energy to lead the core team of an EU‑funded project aimed at strengthening strategic, institutional, and operational capacity for effective energy policy in North Macedonia. The role contributes directly to the sustainable economic development of the country.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the implementation team for the 42‑month EU project, ensuring delivery against milestones.
• Provide high‑level policy advice to senior government officials, including ministers, on energy matters.
• Manage a technical assistance project with a total budget exceeding EUR 1,000,000.
• Coordinate with EU Member State bodies and Energy Community Treaty parties as required.

Required profile

• Minimum Master’s degree in a directly related discipline, or a Bachelor’s degree plus four years of relevant experience.
• 10–12 years of professional experience in the energy sector.
• Proven experience as a Team Leader on at least one EU‑funded technical assistance project valued at EUR 1 million or more.
• Demonstrated experience delivering high‑level policy advice to senior officials.
• Excellent spoken and written English (C1 level).
• Experience with EU Member State bodies or Energy Community Treaty parties is an advantage.
