Head of Supply Chain Management

About the role

The company is seeking a senior leader to own the end‑to‑end supply chain for a range of nuts and dried‑fruit products. Reporting directly to the CEO, the Head of Supply Chain will shape sourcing strategy, drive commodity trading, and expand the product portfolio across European markets.

Key responsibilities

• Define and execute a multi‑year sourcing strategy for cashews, almonds, groundnuts, pistachios, walnuts, hazelnuts and related dried‑fruit categories.
• Negotiate long‑term supply agreements with origin‑country processors and co‑ops, building a diversified supplier base.
• Establish a trading desk, manage price exposure with forward contracts, options and back‑to‑back positions, and report P&L and risk metrics to the CFO and CEO.
• Lead product expansion into new nut varieties, flavour profiles, roasting specifications and packaging formats, working closely with supermarket buyers.
• Oversee container shipping, customs clearance, bonded warehouse management and optimise inventory positioning across Rotterdam, Hamburg and Luxembourg.
• Drive ERP adoption within the supply‑chain function, ensuring data quality and process compliance.
• Manage a small team of sourcing, quality and logistics coordinators and present strategies to the Board.

Required profile

• 10–15 years of experience in commodity supply‑chain, trading or merchandising within the nuts, dried‑fruit or related soft‑commodity sectors.
• University degree in Agribusiness, International Trade, Supply Chain Management, Economics or a related field.
• Professional qualification in commodity trading or supply‑chain (e.g., CIPS, CTA) is an advantage.
• Proven track record of managing origin‑to‑destination supply chains and hands‑on commodity trading.
