Head of Operations

About the role

The Head of Operations will lead the operational backbone of a global, fully remote financial services organization. Based in Luxembourg, you will shape and scale processes that support rapid growth while ensuring compliance, resilience, and exceptional service delivery.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute a comprehensive operations strategy aligned with business objectives.
• Lead core operational areas such as payments, treasury, reconciliations, card operations, and back‑office processes.
• Own operational performance by establishing metrics, controls, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Drive process optimisation, automation, and transformation using technology, data and AI‑enabled solutions.
• Create and implement standard operating procedures to improve consistency and visibility.
• Build, mentor and develop a high‑performing operations team.
• Partner with compliance, risk and financial‑crime teams to meet regulatory standards.
• Establish operational risk‑management frameworks and ensure audit readiness.
• Oversee digital‑asset settlement operations, including wallet management and crypto‑fiat processes.

Required profile

• 10+ years of progressive experience leading operations in banking, fintech, financial services or wealth‑management environments.
• Proven track record of scaling complex, regulated operational functions.
• Strong strategic thinking with a focus on efficiency, quality and compliance.
• Experience managing multidisciplinary teams and driving cultural change.
