Head of Investment Risk

About the role

We are seeking a senior investment risk professional to lead the oversight of private markets and private credit strategies for a leading global asset manager based in Luxembourg. The role combines portfolio risk monitoring, regulatory compliance, and close collaboration with portfolio managers and senior stakeholders.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee private markets and private credit strategies.
• Monitor portfolio, liquidity, leverage, and counterparty risks.
• Conduct stress testing, scenario analysis, and produce risk reports.
• Work closely with portfolio managers and senior stakeholders.
• Ensure regulatory compliance with CSSF, AIFMD, and SFDR frameworks.
• Enhance risk frameworks, dashboards, and analytics tools.

Required profile

• Strong investment risk experience within asset management or alternatives.
• Exposure to private markets and private credit.
• Proven experience partnering with portfolio managers.
• Knowledge of liquidity risk, stress testing, and portfolio analytics.
• Familiarity with Luxembourg regulatory frameworks.
• Python, SQL, or R exposure is advantageous.
