Head of FCC Oversight – Europe

About the role

The Head of FCC Oversight – Europe will lead the Financial Crime Compliance (FCC) oversight function for M&G Luxembourg, managing a small team and reporting directly to the Conducting Officer for Compliance and FCC. This senior position sits in the Second Line of Defence and is responsible for anticipating, identifying and mitigating financial crime risks across the firm’s funds and activities.

Key responsibilities

• Provide overall oversight of FCC operations across funds, investors, assets, distribution networks and delegated activities.
• Conduct initial and ongoing due‑diligence on appointed service providers and delegates, including investment managers, and perform on‑site reviews when required.
• Act as the escalation point for FCC matters such as name‑screening alerts, account‑opening issues and high‑risk cases.
• Monitor and report on service‑provider performance, ensuring regular receipt and robust assessment of KPIs.
• Lead regular oversight meetings with delegates and ensure timely follow‑up on agreed actions.
• Address AML/CFT and KYC queries from internal and external stakeholders in a pragmatic, timely manner.

Required profile

• Proven experience in financial crime compliance, preferably within an asset‑management or investment‑fund environment.
• Strong knowledge of Luxembourg and EU regulatory requirements (AML, CFT, KYC, AIFM).
• Demonstrated ability to lead a small team and influence senior management.
• Excellent analytical and risk‑assessment skills with a proactive approach to mitigation.
