Head of AIFM Luxembourg

About the role

The Head of AIFM will lead the Luxembourg Alternative Investment Fund Manager (AIFM) business, ensuring full regulatory compliance and operational excellence across a diverse range of alternative investment strategies.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee regulatory compliance with AIFMD, CSSF circulars and fund‑specific rules.
• Maintain relationships with the CSSF and act as the primary regulatory contact.
• Coordinate risk management, portfolio management, compliance and valuation functions.
• Drive operational governance, service‑provider monitoring and internal policy adherence.
• Lead process‑improvement, automation and efficiency initiatives.
• Represent the AIFM internally and externally, supporting business development and client‑facing activities.
• Participate in or chair internal committees such as valuation, risk and investment committees.

Required profile

• Extensive experience managing an AIFM or similar investment‑fund operation.
• Deep knowledge of EU and Luxembourg regulations (AIFMD, CSSF).
• Proven leadership of cross‑functional teams in risk, compliance, portfolio and valuation.
• Strong stakeholder management with regulators and internal senior leaders.
• Ability to translate regulatory changes into operational processes.
