Head of AIFM Luxembourg

About the role

The Head of AIFM will lead the Luxembourg Alternative Investment Fund Manager (AIFM) unit, ensuring strategic direction, regulatory compliance and operational excellence across a broad range of alternative investment strategies.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee full regulatory compliance with AIFMD, CSSF circulars and fund‑specific rules.
• Coordinate risk management, portfolio management, compliance and valuation functions.
• Maintain primary contact with the CSSF and monitor regulatory developments.
• Ensure high‑quality, timely regulatory reporting (e.g., Annex IV).
• Manage the AIFM operating model, including delegation oversight and service‑provider monitoring.
• Drive process improvements, automation initiatives and operational efficiency.
• Represent the AIFM internally and externally, supporting business development and client‑facing activities.

Required profile

• Proven experience managing Luxembourg AIFM operations.
• In‑depth knowledge of AIFMD, CSSF regulations and related compliance frameworks.
• Strong leadership and team‑management capabilities.
• Ability to maintain effective relationships with regulators and internal stakeholders.
