Group Controller

About the role

The Group Controller will steer financial performance and support executive decision‑making for a large industrial group headquartered in Luxembourg. The role combines deep industrial controlling expertise with leadership of a senior finance team and advanced SAP S/4HANA analytics.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the annual Group budgeting process, define guidelines, coordinate subsidiaries and ensure data quality.
• Oversee monthly Group financial reporting, variance analysis and business reviews for Luxembourg entities.
• Coordinate product costing, standard and actual costing, and production variance analysis in SAP S/4.
• Provide plant controlling, P&L reviews, production efficiency analysis and cost‑control recommendations.
• Partner with Sales on pricing, margin calculations and profitability analysis for industrial goods.
• Manage inventory accounting, valuation, slow‑moving stock analysis and SKU master‑data governance in SAP FI/CO.
• Lead, coach and develop a controlling team of 4‑5 professionals.

Required profile

• Extensive experience in industrial controlling and financial reporting.
• Proven leadership of finance teams and ability to influence senior managers.
• Strong knowledge of SAP S/4HANA, especially FI/CO modules.
• Expertise in budgeting, cost accounting, inventory valuation and pricing analysis.
