Experienced Laboratory Technician

About the role

The Laboratory Technician will join Astrobiome Space’s on‑site research facility in Bascharage, Luxembourg. Working closely with scientists, you will support daily laboratory operations that span microbiology, bacterial fermentation and plant tissue culture projects aimed at space‑enhanced food supplements.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare samples for bacterial fermentation and plant micropropagation, following SOPs.
• Operate, calibrate and perform routine maintenance on laboratory equipment.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized laboratory environment.
• Manage inventory of reagents, consumables and ensure timely restocking.
• Document experimental procedures and quality‑control data accurately.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams on research and development projects.

Required profile

• Proven experience as a laboratory technician, preferably in microbiology and plant science.
• Ability to work independently while following detailed instructions.
• Local residence in Luxembourg or nearby borders; a car is a plus.
• Commitment to laboratory safety, regulatory compliance and continuous learning.

• Microbiology techniques and bacterial fermentation.

• Quality‑control practices and documentation.
