European Finance Controller – Industrial Group

About the role

Our client, a well‑established international industrial business, is looking for a European Finance Controller to lead finance and accounting operations across Europe. Reporting directly to the CFO, you will act as a strategic partner to regional manufacturing, commercial teams and corporate headquarters.

Key responsibilities

• Lead regional accounting, financial reporting and compliance with IFRS and local regulations.
• Prepare and deliver KPI dashboards, management reports, budgeting, forecasting and performance monitoring.
• Manage month‑end, quarter‑end and year‑end close processes, as well as AR/AP operations.
• Oversee invoice processing, payments, cash‑disbursements and short‑term cash‑flow forecasting.
• Analyse variances against operating plans, support tax filing and strengthen internal controls.
• Mentor regional accounting teams and coordinate regular travel to business sites.

Required profile

• MBA from a top‑ranked university or business school.
• Engineering or science degree plus CPA, CMA or CA qualification.
• 5–10 years of controlling and accounting experience in an industrial/manufacturing environment.
• Fluent English; German or French is a plus.
• Strong stakeholder management and ability to work in a fast‑paced, multinational setting.
