European Finance Controller – Industrial Group

About the role

Our client, a well‑established international industrial business, is looking for a European Finance Controller to lead Finance and Accounting operations across Europe. Reporting directly to the CFO, you will act as a strategic partner for regional manufacturing, commercial operations and corporate headquarters.

Key responsibilities

• Lead regional accounting, financial reporting and compliance in line with IFRS and local regulations.
• Deliver financial analysis, KPIs and management reporting to support strategic decision‑making.
• Drive budgeting, forecasting and performance monitoring across the region.
• Manage daily AR/AP operations, month‑end, quarter‑end and year‑end close processes.
• Oversee invoice processing, payments, cash disbursements and short‑term cash‑flow forecasts.
• Track credit and collections performance, ensuring targets are met.
• Prepare and file all tax obligations accurately and on time.
• Strengthen internal controls, audit procedures and accounting policies.
• Lead and mentor regional accounting teams and conduct regular regional travel as required.

Required profile

• MBA from a leading university or business school.
• Degree in engineering or science and/or professional qualification (CPA, CMA, CA).
• 5–10 years of controlling and accounting experience in an industrial/manufacturing environment.
• Fluent in English; German and/or French is an advantage.
• Strong stakeholder management and cross‑functional collaboration skills.
• Organised, proactive and able to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced setting.
