EU Policy Consultant – Digital Policy

About the role

Wavestone is seeking a motivated EU Policy Consultant to join its Digital Policy team in Luxembourg and Brussels. You will support European institutions on high‑impact digital transformation projects, helping shape policy and deliver strategic advice.

Key responsibilities

• Lead projects and studies for the European Commission (DG CNECT, DG HOME, DG TAXUD, DG GROW, DG DIGIT, SG REFORM, DG SANTE) and other EU bodies such as EIB, ENISA, and eu‑LISA.
• Provide advice on how emerging technologies can improve public services and drive economic growth.
• Produce evaluations, impact assessments, cost‑benefit analyses, technical feasibility studies, and policy research focused on digital transformation.
• Identify and develop new business opportunities through your professional network.
• Conduct research, analysis, and draft deliverables under the supervision of senior staff.
• Interact with clients and stakeholders to gather information, validate findings, and ensure project progress.
• Work autonomously on assigned tasks, maintaining quality and meeting deadlines.
• Support proposal preparation and internal initiatives to contribute to business development.

Required profile

• Master’s degree in Political Science, European Studies, Economics, Business Administration or a related field.
• At least 1 year of experience delivering digital policy projects, evaluations, impact assessments, cost‑benefit analyses or strategic advisory work.
• Direct experience with the European Commission and/or EU agencies.
• Strong communication and interpersonal abilities, with fluency in English; French or another European language is a plus.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
• Project‑management certification (e.g., PMP, Prince2, CSM) is advantageous.
