Director, Fund Accounting (Private Equity)

About the role

This senior leadership position is based in Luxembourg and reports to senior stakeholders of an international fund services platform. The Director will own the end‑to‑end delivery of private‑equity fund accounting, driving operational excellence while supporting the firm’s growth strategy.

Key responsibilities

• Lead fund accounting teams and manage the full accounting, reporting and operational cycle for a portfolio of private‑equity structures.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for assigned clients, handling relationship management and complex issue resolution.
• Oversee preparation and review of financial statements in accordance with IFRS and GAAP, including consolidation, audit coordination and regulatory filings.
• Drive process improvements, enhance controls and increase efficiency across the function.
• Allocate resources, monitor team capacity and ensure delivery aligns with business objectives.
• Support business development activities such as client pitches and expansion initiatives.

Required profile

• Extensive experience in fund accounting with a focus on private‑equity structures.
• Proven leadership experience managing teams and delivering client‑focused services.
• Strong knowledge of IFRS, GAAP and Luxembourg regulatory environment.
• Commercial mindset with ability to contribute to business development.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder‑management skills.
