Director, Executive Rewards

About the role

The Director, Executive Rewards leads the design, governance and continuous improvement of SES’s global executive compensation programmes. Reporting to the Vice President of Total Rewards, the role acts as a trusted advisor to senior leadership, the Remuneration Committee and the Board, ensuring remuneration supports business strategy, talent objectives and shareholder expectations.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and enhance executive remuneration strategies aligned with corporate goals and talent priorities.
• Design and maintain short‑term and long‑term incentive plans for senior leaders.
• Analyse market trends, peer practices and emerging remuneration developments to ensure competitiveness and equity.
• Prepare executive compensation analyses, reports and recommendations for Board and Committee meetings.
• Provide independent insights on remuneration risk, governance and shareholder perspectives.
• Coordinate external compensation consultants as needed.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory, legal, tax, disclosure and corporate‑governance requirements across jurisdictions.
• Monitor changes in remuneration regulations, governance codes and investor expectations.
• Maintain robust governance frameworks, policies and controls for executive compensation decisions.
• Oversee the annual executive compensation cycle and align incentives with performance.

Required profile

• Extensive experience in executive compensation design, governance and implementation.
• Strong knowledge of regulatory, tax and disclosure requirements for executive remuneration.
• Proven ability to advise senior leadership, remuneration committees and boards on compensation strategy.
• Track record of leading cross‑functional projects and building capability within a rewards function.
• Excellent analytical and communication skills to present complex compensation data clearly.
