Debt Finance Associate – Luxembourg

About the role

The Debt Finance Associate will join White & Case’s Debt Finance Practice in Luxembourg, supporting borrowers, lenders and financial institutions on a range of debt transactions. This junior position is designed to develop core legal drafting, research and transaction skills while working alongside senior partners.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct legal research on statutes, case law and regulatory issues.
• Draft basic legal documents such as term sheets, non‑disclosure agreements and simple purchase agreements under supervision.
• Organise and maintain case files, ensuring documents are up‑to‑date and accessible.
• Support due‑diligence processes by reviewing and organising relevant documents.
• Attend negotiations, take detailed notes and prepare agendas or presentation slides.
• Handle routine client communications to gather information and respond to inquiries.
• Perform administrative tasks including scheduling meetings and filing documents.

Required profile

• Recent law graduate or candidate with a strong interest in finance law.
• Excellent analytical and research abilities.
• High attention to detail and ability to work under supervision.
• Strong written and oral communication skills in English.
• Motivation to develop expertise in debt‑finance transactions.
