Controller – Real Estate Investment Funds

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Controller to join our Luxembourg team, supporting a key international real‑estate investment client. The role involves overseeing day‑to‑day accounting for a portfolio of real‑estate funds, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting, fund consolidations and client service delivery.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and review financial statements, including income statements, balance sheets and supporting schedules.
• Lead the preparation and coordination of monthly, quarterly and annual reporting deliverables.
• Produce and review fund and portfolio‑level consolidations.
• Coordinate investor capital calls, distributions and redemptions.
• Support fund onboarding, restructurings and liquidation activities.
• Act as a primary contact for clients, auditors, tax advisors and service providers.
• Review the work of Assistant Controllers and Lead Accountants, providing coaching and guidance.
• Assist with due‑diligence exercises, transactions and ad‑hoc projects.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or a related discipline.
• 4–6 years of experience in fund accounting, investment accounting or financial reporting.
• Strong experience preparing and reviewing consolidated financial statements.
• Good knowledge of IFRS and other financial reporting standards.
• Proven ability to work in a fast‑paced environment with tight deadlines.
